Iron Hands Space Marines Painting Tutorial

Iron Hands are by far my favorite Space Marine Chapter/Legion. Clad in their dark armor, they bring retribution to the enemies of mankind aided by the their poweful tanks and dreadnoughts and by their traditional cyber implants that set them free from the weakness of the flesh!

I designed my color scheme taking inspiration from the Iron Hands lore: I wanted to create a dark teal transition on the armor in order to recall the oily armor that these Astartes warriors use to wear, kinda imitating the teal reflections of petrol over a surface.

Iron Hands by lore are not pompous or demanding when it comes to decorations, that’s why I reduced the presence of gold and decorations to the minimum, and even the gold itself is washed-out and very brassy.

The martian base instead is a tribute to the Adeptus Mechanicus the best ally of Iron Hands.
